Topic: The Global Impact of Undergraduate Research at Trinity University

This two part talk will examine the real world impact of undergraduate research at Trinity University. Dr. Becker first will discuss how Trinity student research contributed to the development of critical innovations that have allowed a global group of researchers to reach over 3.5 million girls and young women with the Body Project body image intervention. She will then provide a preview of a brand new interdisciplinary line of research being conducted in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, and show how this new line of undergraduate research arose directly from Trinity’s new First Year Experience. 

Dress is business casual. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
